Support, Training & Onboarding
The Medical Solicitors team is headed up by 5 Grade As presently, as well as 4 Grade Bs.
We have junior Grades at C and D in our litigation assistant pool, who each work with nominated Grade As or Bs. We are committed to supporting suitable candidates through the Solicitors Qualifying Exams (SQE) or the Cilex route to qualification. We have an open door policy at work and qualified members of the team benefit from Annual Conference attendance as well as other regular training from APIL and MBL. We have a full-time HR Manager to assist in the on-boarding process, as well as a detailed on-boarding manual, to complement the settling in period.
Our Systems
Since inception we have benefitted from the market leader case management system of Proclaim. Medical Solicitors is a technologically advanced firm and consequently the team were quickly able to adapt to the lockdowns during the covid pandemic.
We also subscribe to sophisticated Office software that allows us to access Teams video meetings, as well as a VOIP telephone system, rather than the more old-fashioned hardware telephones.
We work mostly electronically, bearing in mind responsibilities to the environment and reducing our carbon footprint.
Work-Life Balance
We believe in a healthy work life balance. We do not work to Billing targets, as our clients’ cases cannot be forced to settlement. Time-recording is set at a fair level and includes client non charge time, as well as chargeable time. Our caseloads are maintained at a modest level that allows members of our team to engage with clients fully, and investigate claims thoroughly and expeditiously, so that settlements are reached without undue delay. We are committed to creating healthy work environments. Staff in-office all have sit/stand desks and we take care of everyone in relation to desktop ergonomics. In addition to this, we will contribute towards your gym membership fees to help you maintain healthy habits when you leave the office too.
Our Ethos
To achieve the goals in our Ethos sign below, we look for candidates who are committed to high standards of client service, as well as having a solid academic record. Our clients are not a file number!
